We’re more than just a retail store! We have a studio area with a huugge table (called Humongous) where we hold regular classes and workshops.
In-house classes are coordinated and run by Vanessa. Vanessa trained as a dressmaker and has been sewing all her life! She has been an adult educator in her previous workplaces and enjoys spending time with each student in a class.
“My students tell me that I’m very patient and I never want a student to feel ‘left behind’. Not everyone learns (or sews) at the same pace, so I’ll make sure that each person is comfortable with a technique before moving on.”
We also host special guest tutor workshops. We have partnered with Michelle Murden of Createandmore to bring you a series of interesting and fun workshops on fabric dyeing. More details below…
We’re always interested in what you’re making and we love to see people finishing their projects.
